Astrologer, consciousness explorer, self-empowerment coach, spiritual ecologist/herbalist, writer & photographer.
Here is a brief overview of my path towards becoming an astrologer. More details on how I work with clients and my approach to astrology and self-empowerment coaching can be found throughout this website.
Growing up in South East Asia for 14 years in a multicultural environment gave me a broad perspective on the depth and variety of how people experience themselves and the world. It also introduced me to a multitude of spiritual beliefs and mystical traditions.
I’ve always had an inquisitive mind and enthusiasm for all types of consciousness exploration. My first steps towards regular spiritual practice began after joining a Hindu ashram at the age of 15. Later this developed into training as a meditation teacher in Germany (during which I also studied biology and qualified as a beekeeper).
In the late 1980’s I assisted in organizing the 'Spiritual Dimensions' conference in Germany and came across Stanislav Grof's pioneering research in transpersonal psychology. This was the starting point for my personal exploration of the perinatal and transpersonal realms.
Around this period a friend of mine began offering astrological consultations, thereby reviving my long-time interest in astrology. Eventually I settled in India and Nepal for several years — taking all my astrological books with me. When I returned to Europe there was still a long winding path to follow before my career in astrology could manifest.
I'm fortunate to have benefited from the wisdom and support of my partner, as well as the expertise of excellent teachers who are at the forefront of archetypal and postmodern psychological astrology. It deepened my understanding of this 'science of the soul' in a profound way and continues to be life changing and inspirational.
Among the many treasures astrology has to offer is the discovery of the quality of time. In ancient Greece it was called kairos: the opportune moment, or a ‘passing instant when an opening occurs’. On the journey towards becoming a professional astrologer I experienced the value of atuning to and trusting this moment. To let ourselves flow is an act of faith. This is a faith in what is true for our life purpose and an inner knowing that it manifests when the time is ripe.
